Global warming
I am far from an expert on global warming but this makes as much sense to me as anything else I have heard lately.
"According to a new U.N. report, the global warming outlook is much worse than originally predicted. Which is pretty bad when they originally predicted it would destroy the planet." --Jay Leno

That is why I belong to the "What Me Worry" fan club. Its going to hell anyway mine as well whoop it up a notch!
I'm guessing that the scientists were trying to say the same consequences "destroying the Earth" only quicker.
I'm not really a tree hugger, but our society spends so much time joking about serious problems (divorce, government bureaucracy, ineptness, waste, dishonesty, corruption, partisan politics, special interests) and not much time dealing with them.
The whole Chicken-Littlism alarmist nonsense is rapidly falling apart at the schemes.
I've been working on debunking the bullshit...
As have many others...
The whole thing is a hoax. A scam. A Big Lie.
An infamously evil monster with a narrow black mustache once said that a big lie is more likely to be believed by the masses than is a small one. And those Krauts fell for the Big Lie, as leftists today are falling for Big Lie, Part Two (the believing that Islam is peaceful and that Israel is demonic).
The "climate change is manmade and deadly global catastrophe will happen tomorrow unless we shut down civilization" Big Lie could be seen as Big Lie Part Three...
I believe it's the left's attempt to weaken the Free World while the non-Free World becomes stronger... 'cause the non-Free World is allowed under Kyoto to emit all it wants whereas we're expected to return to the days prior to the Industrial Revolution... if you look at exactly what it'd take just to meet the target set out by Kyoto... which is plainly undoable and which no one has any idea how to acheive... no wonder even Stephane Dion himself not long ago said he believed it's "unlikely" that it could be done!
